"Journey To A Bright Future"

How it all began
It all started among four gentlemen who had a desire to enter the services space, exploring various diversification opportunities.

A team of visionaries Mr. Jitendra, Mr. Abhijeet, Dr. Suresh & Er. Vijay Chhajed who had a vision to establish Jain International School Aurangabad (JISA-Maliwada) with a motto to provide world class education and holistic development to the future generations...

While setting up stand alone many affiliated schools were in vogue those days, the visionaries chose to set up a KG to XII school that in comparison had a longer gestation period and was much more capital intensive and complex to set up. The vision was to become a prominent player in the education space by creating an institution that is scalable and sustainable. The dream was to set up a world class school, which over a period of time becomes an institution second to none but the one that always remains ahead of its times.

The start was made on 2 very basic questions:

What is the very purpose of school education? Is it limited to helping students achieve that very important number to get into university? If so, why is it that all the most meritorious students are not necessarily the most successful in life?

Who should on benchmark with? One day it struck to the visionaries that the fabulous institutions which existed were built decades and centuries ago. If one were to set up a positive looking institution, should one look into the past or peep into the future?

The team finally reached a decision that they aim to mould and produce not the learners but the leaders of tomorrow. After the decision made by the team to set up a school, they purchased the 16 acers of land in the sylvan and pollution free area in the lap of the nature, ideal for educational institute on 5th Oct 2006.

After completion of the basic formalities, the foundation stone of the school was laid on 2nd Oct 2007. The world class infrastructure of 70000 sq ft was erected within a very short span.

The school started it's operation on 23rd June 2008, run and managed by Arihant Jain MCM Educational and Cultural Trust.

The application for CBSE affiliation for Secondary School was filed on 29th June 2009 and the school sought the affiliation to CBSE, New Delhi upto Secondary School on 7th June 2010 with the dedication of the entire team.

The application for Senior Secondary CBSE affiliation was filed on 28th June 2011 and the school was affiliated to CBSE, New Delhi upto Senior Secondary in the field of Science, Commerce & Humanities on 1st April 2012 this reaching a new height, in its endeavor to provide world-class education.

In today's world, where one cannot even imagine the kind of professions and businesses that will exist twenty years from now, the whole pedagogical approach for education should shift from 'teaching' based to 'learning' based, so as to prepare 'life-long learners'.

A good teacher is no more the one who has answers to all the questions students ask, but the one who ignites students to ask such questions of which even he/she does not have the answers. Books, which were at least vetted, are no more the only source of information. Thus, how do you equip children with the skills to be able to filter tons of information that is thrown at them with the click of a button? In the classroom, how do you maintain the attention span of this restless and multi-tasking post-internet and cell phone generation that loves indulging in several activities at the same time? This journey of unlearning and learning was so enticing for the visionaries that what started as a business dream soon became a lifelong passion.

Today, JISA has completed more than a decade. The journey that had started at the turn of the millennium has never paused. From one location in 2008, we are now present at three locations. The vision that was initially carved out by 4 gentlemen is collectively shared and felt amongst thousands today. Having said that, we truly believe that JISA is a living organism that evolves further with each passing year.
